I opened River City Allstars in 2006 and have nearly 20 years of coaching experience in competitive cheer. I’ve had the opportunity to work with athletes of all ages and skill levels, and it’s been an honor to watch their growth as cheerleaders and individuals.
My coaching style combines high expectations with love, cultivating confidence and plenty of fun. I believe in pushing athletes to be the best while celebrating their strengths and personal journeys. At RCA, we focus on more than just trophies; we aim to help young people develop resilience, confidence, and skills for success in cheer and life. I’m proud of what we’ve built at River City Allstars and look forward to continuing to watch this family grow!

I’ve been coaching at RCA for over 18 years—long enough to call it my second home! As Tumbling Director, I’m passionate about helping athletes build confidence and develop their skills at every level. I work closely with Pop Warner teams and school cheer programs, providing specialized training to enhance their routines and overall performance.
More than anything, I love watching athletes push past their limits, achieve their goals, and discover their passion for the sport. Whether you’re learning your first cartwheel or mastering elite tumbling, I’m excited to be part of your journey every step of the way!

Emily Moody
I bring a deep passion, high energy, and a true love for cheerleading to every practice. With over 25 years of coaching experience and a background as a competitive cheerleader, I’m fully committed to helping athletes grow in their skills, build confidence, and become strong teammates. I’ve been fortunate to lead teams to numerous victories, but what means the most to me is watching athletes achieve personal goals, support one another, and grow both on and off the mat.
Coaching is more than just teaching routines—it’s about inspiring athletes to believe in themselves and push beyond limits. I’m proud to be part of the RCA family and excited for another season filled with hard work, growth, and unforgettable memories.

Alex Fletcher
I began my cheerleading journey with River City Allstars at just 11 years old, and from that moment, the gym became my second home. I was raised in this gym—not just as an athlete, but as a person—by incredible coaches who inspired me with their passion, discipline, and love for the sport. Their guidance shaped me into the woman I am today and instilled in me the values I now pass on to the next generation. Today, I’m proud to coach alongside those who once coached me, bringing that same passion and energy to every practice, every stunt, and every athlete I work with.

Taylor “Turtle” Reynolds
Hi, I’m Coach Turtle! I bring over 15 years of cheerleading experience and a true passion for the sport. After competing for more than a decade—including two incredible years cheering at Valdosta State University—I transitioned into coaching and have spent the past three years inspiring and developing young athletes.
My focus is on building strong fundamentals, promoting teamwork, and creating a positive, high-energy environment where every cheerleader can thrive. I’m so excited to continue sharing my love for cheerleading and helping my team reach new heights both on and off the mat!

With 14 years of competitive cheer experience across all-star, high school, and collegiate levels, along with 3 years of coaching local rec teams, cheerleading has always been a core part of my life. I’m passionate about fostering a positive, hardworking environment where athletes feel empowered to build confidence and unlock their full potential.
As a former UCA staffer, I focus on progressions and proper technique in both stunting and tumbling. I love choreographing routines and being part of each athlete’s journey—helping them grow into the strongest, most confident version of themselves.
I’m excited to be back coaching where my love for cheer began!

Katie Simmons Webb
With a lifelong passion for cheerleading and a heart devoted to youth development, I have dedicated my life to inspiring and shaping young athletes both on and off the mat. From my early days as a cheerleader to coaching All-Star teams, serving with Pop Warner, and assisting with choreography for outside programs, I have poured countless hours into mentoring the next generation. My coaching philosophy is rooted in tough love—pushing athletes to never settle, always strive for greatness, and discover their true potential.
I believe that cheerleading is more than a sport; it’s a platform for building confidence, character, and lifelong bonds. My mission is to create a fun, high-energy, and competitive environment where unforgettable memories are made and life lessons are learned. Loyalty is at the core of everything I do, and RCA is not just a program—it’s my home away from home. Having been part of RCA since its inception, I take immense pride in watching it grow and succeed, knowing that together, we are creating something truly special for every athlete who walks through our doors.

Ja’Nya “Nya” Short
Hi, I’m Ja’Nya – but around RCA, you probably know me as Coach Nya! RCA isn’t just a job for me; it’s truly my second home. The love and positive energy I’ve received from the coaches, athletes, and parents is simply unexplainable!
I first became part of the RCA family when I was just 7 years old. Over my 10+ years as an athlete, I grew in more ways than I can count – physically, mentally, and spiritually. RCA quickly became my sanctuary, a place where I could leave it all out on the mat.
Now, it’s an absolute honor and a dream come true to coach alongside a powerful and inspiring group of women. I’m passionate about what I do and love seeing our athletes not only grow in their skills but also flourish in life. My goal is to help each athlete unlock their full potential and always strive for greatness. As a coach and mentor, I’m dedicated to guiding and supporting our athletes every step of the way.

Marcie Simmons – Office Manager
For over two decades, I’ve proudly worn the title of Cheer Mom — a role that has taken me across the country and around the world, always with a carload (or plane full) of kids, not all of them my own, but each one close to my heart. From cheer mats to hotel lobbies, I’ve been there to support, encourage, and provide for every athlete who’s needed a ride, a meal, or a pep talk.
Now, as a mom to coaches and a grandmother to cheerleaders, my journey has come full circle. I’ve had the privilege of watching generations grow through this sport — not just in skill, but in strength, confidence, and community. I’ve witnessed firsthand the love, dedication, and family spirit that thrives within the gym walls of RCA, and there’s truly no place I’d rather be — nor any environment I’d rather see my daughters and grandkids be a part of.
I love all the athletes in the gym as if they were my own. I find joy in connecting with other parents, sharing the ups and downs that come with this journey, and offering a listening ear or a few words of perspective when things get tough. Whether it’s a long competition weekend or a hard practice, I’m always here with a helping hand, a warm heart, and my honest feedback — anytime it’s needed.
